What makes Promeg® environmentally friendly?
Promeg® is made up from carbon and hydrogen, and is manufactured without any dangerous emissions. Promeg® can be recycled, incinerated, or land filled without any harm to the environment. When burnt, Promeg® will only give off water vapor and carbon dioxide, which is converted by photosynthesis. All our production waste is recycled. Promeg® does not contain heavy metals and is chemically stable (inert).
Promeg® is resistant to water and most oils, greases, and chemical products. It is extremely hard wearing and very tear resistant. When Promeg® is creased a change in the molecular structure increases the material's resistance to mechanical stress.

Does Megara have a sampling service?
We have full design facilities with CAD/CAM equipment for designing, sampling and tooling. Our design service gives customers the opportunity to see and try out our product before any final commitments are made. We send pre-production samples to all customers whose orders require new tools, thereby ensuring that customers can inspect their product before production starts.

How should artwork be supplied?
- Illustrator CS, Indesign CS, Photoshop CS or Quark 6.5
- DO NOT EMBED large Photoshop files in Illustrator. Place them in Quark or Indesign.
- Supply ALL pictures that have been placed in Illustrator, Indesign or Quark.
- Do not supply pics in RGB colour space.
- DO NOT SUPPLY FINAL ART AS A .PDF or JPEG

Does Megara offer a design service?
Yes we do. Design is central to all or activities. We have a fully CAD/CAM equipped design office where we put our customers' ideas into reality. A customer's idea is often no more than a roughly scribbled sketch, or a discussion over the telephone.

Does Megara offer an advisory or consultancy service?
We give full and extensive advice through our State Sales and Account Managers, who operate throughout Australia, and will visit customers at short notice. They carry samples of products and materials and will be able to help with any enquiry. Or contact our internal sales consultants, design staff, or managerial staff.

What is Megara's quality policy?
We are an ISO 9001 accredited organization. We follow our internal procedures very carefully and confirm all quotations and orders in writing.
Quality is the most central issue of our operations. From the very earliest stage of a product cycle (customer approvals and signing off procedures), to the actual production run (quality inspections, batch inspections and destruction tests) and the final packing and dispatch of the product ('last off' inspection), quality is the most important aspect of everything we produce.

How long has Megara been trading?
Megara (Australia) Pty Ltd has been trading since 1969 and manufacturing since 1983. Megara has now grown into one of the most successful manufacturers of polypropylene presentation and packaging products in Australia.

Can you litho print directly onto Promeg®?
Yes. We have very close relationships with a number of litho printers who specialize in this. The effects of litho print directly onto Promeg® are superb. Prices become more competitive than 4 colour screen printing from quantities of 5000 upwards.

I need something non-standard and a bit special. Would that be a problem?
No problem at all. Everything we make is special and bespoke. What is more, we can let you have a sample of what you want, designed specially for you, before you commit yourself.

Is it possible to have the Promeg® matched to a specific colour?
Most Pantone colours can be matched with the Promeg® material, as long as your order is of a sufficient volume.

Is it possible to see a sample before I order?
Samples are no problem. We either supply this from existing tools, or we will make the sample specifically for you on our CAD System.

Is Promeg® available in different gauges?
Gauges vary from 0.38mm to 1.9mm for standard or stock sheets. We can customise the material thickness to a specific application within this range and also up to 4.0mm, providing there is sufficient volume.
